McDonald’s has unveiled a new line of crispy chicken sandwiches, and it has released a series of commercials to spotlight them alongside its fries and McRib.
The advertisements showcase music from producer Tay Keith, as well as feature actor Brian Cox, who acts as a voiceover for the spots.
In the main clip, Cox describes the sandwiches as being “from the maker of the world’s most stolen fries.” He also mentions how employees at McDonald’s usually offer extra napkins to customers “for a reason,” while showing people chomping down Quarter Pounders.
Cox adds that the new chicken sandwiches come “from the creators of a sandwich phenomenon,” a reference to a fan-favorite menu item, the McRib.
Other mouth-watering commercials give fans a closer look at the three types of chicken sandwiches—classic, spicy, and deluxe. The three 15-second spots show closeups of the burgers, highlighting its crispy and juicy patty, buttered potato bun, and delicious sauces used to give the sandwiches a punchy flavor.
“The excitement we’re seeing from customers, restaurant crew members, and our franchisees around this new sandwich has been incredible, and that energy is definitely reflected in our advertising,” said Jennifer Healan, McDonald’s vice president of US marketing.
Some creative agencies that worked together with McDonald’s for its latest menu lineup include Wieden & Kennedy New York and Callen, Publicis Groupe and Boxer, to name a few.
