Although Inter Milan’s new emblem has taken lots of flack, the soccer team has gone ahead to release a special-edition ‘I M Collection’ with Nike. Along with the team’s fourth kit, the new t-shirt, tracksuit, and track pants sport the brand new club crest.
While fans are split on the jersey design, the bold new look certainly stands out. Incorporating blue, yellow, white, and black, the kit features geometric shapes and patterns that aren’t commonly seen on the soccer pitch. The jersey will also be included in EA Sports’ game FIFA 21 from April 10.
However, according to SPORTBible and Football Italia, there are speculations that the new jersey may not meet Lega Serie A rules, which allow for up to three colors. With over four colors on the jersey, Inter may have to submit a formal request to the league for approval.
Long-time sponsors Pirelli have also said they will no longer be the team’s shirt sponsors from next season. Having had Pirelli’s logo on their jerseys for 26 years, it’s certainly going to be odd seeing an Inter kit without it.
