As the world settles into a norm of remote work, it might make more sense to charge clients for your time rather than by the project. One common issue, however, is that freelance creatives never really know how much they should price their services.
Taking out all the guesswork is the handy ‘Freelance Rate Calculator’ created by web developer David Miranda and data management expert Zach Collins. The free tool, which even arrives with an exportable Google Sheet, figures out the minimum rates you should start charging clients based on your goals and expenses.
Not only does the calculator take savings, taxes, and expenses into account, but it also recognizes that freelancers need their time off for vacations, as well, or that they might need to save up for a car. All these factors help determine how much to price your services per hour, day, or week.
The key of the calculator, its makers say, is to help freelancers thrive, not survive. Give it a go here.
