Launched in December last year, Amazon Echo Frames are smart audio glasses that allows users to access virtual assistant Alexa on the go. You can make calls, set reminders, listen to podcasts, or even control your smart home devices just from your frames.
Now, Amazon has unveiled two new models for the summer: a set of polarized sunglasses and a set of blue-light filtering glasses.
The sunglasses are also available with two different lenses: regular sunglasses or blue mirror sunglasses. Both versions have the IPX4 rating, meaning they can be worn even while working out or hiking.
If you’ll still be stuck working from home this summer, the blue-light filtering Echo Frames are perfect.
Blue light, emitted from the displays of most of our electronic devices, can interrupt sleep cycles and affect circadian rhythms. By wearing blue-light filtering glasses, especially in the evening, you’ll be able to use your devices without sacrificing peaceful sleep.
Both new versions will retail for US$269.99. However, as per Digital Trends, only the blue mirror sunglasses will ship this week, with the classic sunglasses and blue-light filtering sunglasses only being available from June 9.
