When it comes to
Zara’s marketing photos, it can be agreed that the limit does not exist. The fast-fashion brand is notorious for its wacky photo shoots that don’t always “sell” the actual garments.
The latest to be subjected to a sea of jokes is Zara’s
tiered poplin dress, whose model was wearing it while being submerged in deep waters. Naturally, with all that ocean, the images didn’t really illustrate how the dress would look, at least on dry land.
After a viral video on TikTok by user @dumbwishlist that drove internet users’ attention to the listing, Zara seems to have pulled the images from its website.
It turns out that the tiered poplin dress wasn’t the only non-swimsuit to have been drenched in water by Zara. As detailed by
B&T, there was also a listing that saw a model being fully immersed underwater with her satin dress.
Suffice to say, customers expecting to have their dresses shipped in their drenched forms might have a case about the product looking nothing like the photo.
