Instant brews aren’t new, especially in Japan, which offers a huge array of sachets and instant mixes for a quick cuppa. Now, Coca-Cola Japan is making it an even quicker endeavor to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, with its newly launched ‘1,2, Cube’ series.
With 1, 2, Cube, your brewing experience becomes as easy as one, two, three. It’s currently available in barley tea and green tea, with the coffee option coming soon.
Just drop one of the freeze-dried cubes into your cup of cold or hot water, and you’ll instantly get a cuppa of either barley tea, green tea, or coffee.
According to Japan Today, Coca-Cola launched this series of products following a survey it conducted among its customers, who said they longed to have a cup of brewed tea and coffee, but found brewing their own at home inconvenient and time-consuming.
The freeze-drying process helps keep the original aroma and taste of the drink, making sure your quick fix is also just as flavorful as the real thing.
In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, Coca-Cola has opted for no individual packaging for the cubes, and packs them in paper bags instead, reducing plastic waste – a common problem with instant teas and coffees.
The 1, 2, Cube series is available to purchase from Amazon Japan.
