This month, Kellogg’s Away From Home program has launched two new cereal-dispensing robots, so customers can create their own dream breakfast cereals.
The two vending machines debuted at Florida State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where students will be able to enjoy custom creations of their favorite cereals. The launch is part of a collaboration with DoorDash-owned Chowbotics, which originally started out with a fresh food robot named ‘Sally’.
Adorably named the ‘Kellogg’s Bowl Bot’, the vending machine lets customers choose from hundreds of custom meal and snack options, allowing a mix of up to 22 ingredients. They can also opt for seven preset options that offer a variety of flavors.
If you’re in the mood for something decadent, try ‘About Last Night’ – a mix of Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, and Krave Chocolate, topped with chocolate drops, banana chips, and espresso syrup for that instant wake-me-up.
Or mix-and-match your favorite combination of cereals, milk or yogurt options, and add toppings ranging from fruit to nuts, seeds, and more.
You can even place your order via a mobile app so your order will be ready by the time you approach the machine.
Bowls start from US$2.99 to US$6.50, if you’re really splurging. This new robot vending machine might be the answer to our childhood dreams—plus, it’s hygienic too, with the ingredients preserved in a sealed container under refrigeration to ensure they are always safe to eat.
