The World Health Organization (WHO) has debuted a new smartphone app, mYoga, that will enable users with an Android or iOS device to access free yoga workouts.
Users who download mYoga will get free access to audio and video materials related to yoga, as well as lessons that range from three to 45 minutes in length. The app was launched as part of a collaboration with the International Telecommunications Union, with BeHe@lthy BeMobile in charge of developing the product.
According to the WHO, the resource doesn’t track data, and it hopes the free app could encourage more people to get physically active.
With gyms and outdoor recreation areas shut due to the pandemic, mobile workout apps have risen in popularity. As per SlashGear, these apps typically provide guidance on how to perform a workout, with smartwatches enabling users to track data such as heart rate and caloric burn.
To get started, download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
