Besides the Super Bowl, there’s perhaps only one period of the year when everyone fawns over advertisement after advertisement. The time is here again, as the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity has announced its Grand Prix winners for 2021.
In spite of lockdown restrictions that would have cramped their styles, brands and advertisers still showed up and created some of the most compelling campaigns of recent times. Given the reactive nature of advertising, several initiatives inevitably surrounded the COVID-19 pandemic, offering humor and hope to jaded viewers at home.
