In its newest expansion of adaptive products, Target has just launched a line of backpacks in both kid- and adult-friendly designs, which are designed to be worn on the back of a wheelchair.
These feature adjustable straps and hooks for ease of mounting and removing from wheelchairs, as well as multiple compartments and openings designed for specific purposes, all within easy reach.
The back straps can be easily tucked away, too, so no tangling or dragging on the floor will get in the way.

Measuring 17 inches, the built-in laptop sleeve is 15 inches, and several zippered pockets allow for easy organization. The main compartment also boasts a full-zip gusseted opening. It’s designed to be used at school or work, but there’s no reason the bag can’t be used on everyday adventures, too.
A fun range of designs for kids include depictions of dinosaurs, sharks, unicorns, and rainbows, all with endearing matching plush keyrings. The adult range comes in plain colors—black, blue, and lilac—but really, no one is stopping you from indulging in a colorful patterned backpack with a plushie attached to it, even if you’re not seven anymore.

Evidently, this is a popular product that has filled a much-needed gap in the market: more than half of the designs are already sold out. The kids' backpacks are priced at US$19.99 and the adult ones are US$39.99, both of which can be found on Target’s website.
