Adults are told that, if you have a dream, you make it happen. So these adults at Chinese tech firm Xpeng Robotics—an extension of EV giant Xpeng Motors—dug into their childhoods and made a mythical creature come true.
‘Little White Dragon’ is the first ridable robot unicorn, and it’s also the first smart vehicle from Xpeng Motors that children can ride. A little stub on the head makes it a unicorn, though the company’s co-founder He Xiaopeng calls it a “low-speed rideable robotic pony.”

Beyond a conceptual video, little has been revealed about the robotic pony, apart from the fact that it will feature “cutting-edge technologies [like] power modules, motion control, intelligent driving, and human-bot interaction.”
The robot can navigate its surroundings and detect obstacles to avoid, as well as react to a human’s voice, touch, and body language. According to autoevolution, it will also be equipped with “target detection” capabilities, possibly allowing it to fetch objects.
The dragon/unicorn/pony will also be about the same height as a small child, so they can climb onto it for a leisurely ride.
As of now, no release details have been disclosed, so, like a unicorn, it’s still pretty much a fairytale.
