If you thought fairytales aren’t real life, you’d be hard-pressed not to take a gander at this dreamy Winnie-the-Pooh house, recently listed by Airbnb as part of Disney’s 95th-anniversary celebrations for the character.
The all-new ‘Bearbnb’, as it is endearingly called by Airbnb, is located right smack in the Ashdown Forest, East Sussex, England—the very forest that inspired the Hundred Acre Wood. And there’s a reason it appears so true to your memory of it; the dwelling is curated by Winnie-the-Pooh illustrator Kim Raymond, who has spent over 30 years drawing the bear. His personal, hunny-sweet touches can be found in the bespoke acorn wallpaper.

“The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, whilst honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years,” Raymond comments.
Notably, much of this cottagecore treehouse is drawn from the original vision of English artist E.H. Shepard for A.A. Milne’s stories, from the iconic “Mr. Sanders” scratched out on the door to its scraggly wooden fixings and “hunny”-stocked cupboards.

Adding to the magic is the set of house rules imagined in the perspective of Pooh Bear, like the banning of Heffalumps inside the dwelling and a warning not to put hands inside his precious honey pots.
“The ‘Bearbnb’ is a unique experience that brings the charm of Pooh to life for fans, whilst honoring the original adventures that have been so important to many people for 95 years,” commented Raymond, who is also the host of the listing.
Surrounded by nature, guests are invited to live unplugged like Pooh, and can help themselves to an array of wellness products like journals, throws, and yoga mats, or take a guided tour around the forest. Meals are “hunny-inspired,” because Pooh wouldn’t let his best companions have them any other way.

When they’re down with a sugar crash from their bellies full of honey, guests can take a nap on the ground floor’s double bed or lofted single beds. The house sleeps four.

The place is only open to UK residents, however. The stay is for two nights on either September 24 or 25, at £95 (US$131), but it’s not all going to help stock a pantry’s worth of hunny. All proceeds will be donated to children’s charity Together for Short Lives, which aims to offer the best care to children and young people with life-threatening conditions.
For everyone else, this home is just going to live in our imaginations. The good thing is the same Winnie-the-Pooh-themed wellness products from the ‘Bearbnb’ will be made available on shopDisney.co.uk.
