Even though Apple’s fall event included new releases of the iPhone, iPad Mini, and Apple Watch, fans eagerly awaiting brand-new MacBook Pros were disappointed not to see it being unveiled.
Throughout 2021, there have been rumors of the new MacBook throughout the web, with its software even dropping some hints. The new devices are also said to be fitted with Apple’s new M1X Silicon chip, further improving the speed and performance of the laptop.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg was quoted by Front Page Tech as saying that MacBook Pros are still on track to be launched by the year’s end. It could be announced in the coming weeks, as the tech giant is known to hold events featuring its Macs some time in October.
Gurman gave more details regarding the new M1X chip, too. He said it would be a 10-core system-on-chip (SoC), more than the eight in the original M1 chip. Users will also be able to select from 16 or 32 graphic cores depending on their needs.
In addition, Apple is expected to reinstate a HDMI port, and stop featuring the Touch Bar. Chances are that the tech company could include 64GB of RAM, but it’s likely the maximum would reach only 32GB.
Excited for the new MacBook Pro? Stay tuned to find out more when Apple does unveil it!
