Apple has just announced that it will be holding its upcoming product launch on Monday, October 18. Beginning at 10:00 am (pacific time), the Unleashed event will be live-streamed from the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple’s main campus in Cupertino, California.
Similar to its latest California Streaming keynote, the unveiling will remain digital-only due to the ongoing global pandemic. And while the previous invite allowed fans to experience an artificial reality (AR) portal in the shape of the Apple logo, this time’s invitation is a little different.
According to AppleInsider, the new invite features another AR Easter egg; only this time, fans will see rays of light passing by, making it feel as though they’re traveling incredibly quickly through space. At times, fans will see the Apple logo, while others could catch a glimpse of the event date.
MacRumors posits that the event will likely revolve around the launch of Apple’s rumored new MacBook Pro laptops. Key changes expected include thinner bezels, larger display screens, and the use of the coveted M1X chip. It’s also been anticipated at the Touch Bar will no longer be included in models going forth.
One other device Apple could launch at the October 18 event is the AirPods 3. While many had thought the tech giant would reveal them alongside its earlier iPhone 13 launch, there’s a possibility of it making an appearance at this show instead.
Mark your calendars, and tune in to the livestream here.
