Just when you thought you couldn’t feel any older, The Beatles have arrived on TikTok with an official account.
According to Input, it only has three short advertisements as of now, but could soon become the source from which teens across the globe create meme dances, with 36 of the band’s biggest hits currently available for use.
While those from Gen Z may not be too familiar with John, Ringo, George, and Paul, it’s only a matter of time before their hit tracks are remixed into 60-second loops that get stuck in your head all day. Hey Jude could be accompanied by a new strange dance, or teens could start re-creating the famed Abbey Road cover image. Who knows?
Though most people past 30 would like to keep certain memories of youth to themselves, it’s unsurprising the band is cashing in on the video platform, considering its incredible popularity. Plus, there’s no reason why the youth of today shouldn’t get a chance at learning some classic hits either.
In September, the social media platform announced it had surpassed one billion (yes, you read that right) monthly active users, and with the number of people and songs it’s catapulted to fame, we might just be in time for a Beatles revival in the 2020s.
