Seeing a Twix bar at the grocery store isn’t anything out of the ordinary. But the next time you see one, look a little closer—it’s hiding something in its logo.
Ever since the logo went through a redesign in 2010, the dot in the “i” has included two bite-sized Twix bars in it. It’s not the most obvious imagery in the world, and definitely easy to miss when just glancing past the rows of colorful confectionery.
However, that’s not all; it also makes the letter look like a pause button. This is a sneaky reference to the company’s old campaigns. As detailed by business blogger Brandon Gaille, Twix used to carry the slogan “Twix, need a moment?”
This old branding takes the concept of “needing a moment” or taking a break, hence the pause button.
Hitting pause on a hectic day and taking a breather is already a nice reminder in a busy world, made even sweeter by the chocolatey caramel swirl.
