Apple Launches $19 ‘Polishing Cloth’ That’s ‘Compatible’ With Every Product

On the frontier of Apple’s minimalist ethos, its latest product is ultraslim, virtually weightless, buttonless, bezel-free, and boasts an end-to-end surface. It’s a US$19 Polishing Cloth that’s “compatible” with every Apple device, including the new MacBook Pros unveiled at its October 18 event.
As you might be aware, Apple has some pretty extensive guidelines on how to properly clean its products. If you’re feeling unsure, the $19 Apple Polishing Cloth will mop those worries away. The piece of fabric is apparently optimized for “any Apple display.”

“Made with soft, nonabrasive material, the Polishing Cloth cleans any Apple display, including nano-texture glass, safely and effectively,” Apple details on its website.

Bonus: there’s an Apple logo; and shipping is free, thankfully.
The memes write themselves. Some users have described the cutting-edge piece as “peak capitalism,” though others have admitted to being oddly drawn to the new barebones Apple product.
“Now that I’ve spent an eye-watering CA$3840 on my first-ever Mac, I might as well buy the Apple Polishing Cloth for an additional CA$25 to wipe away these f**king tears,” says freelance web developer Kevin Canlas.
Amusingly, Apple lists every single product as “compatible” with the Polishing Cloth, so it will work with any Apple device, whether supported by USB-C or Lightning.
