After sending out a cryptic teaser last week, Gucci and Microsoft Xbox have unveiled the brainchild of their surprise collaboration. It’s not an apparel collection—no siree; the two players have gone all out and designed a co-branded Xbox Series X.
Priced at US$10,000, the special-edition set arrives with a Gucci-monogrammed console, a pair of wireless controllers, and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. All this goes into one of 100 hand-numbed, Gucci archive-inspired carrying cases stamped with the Xbox name.
The tie-up between both brands might seem out of the blue, but there are a few synchronicities. Gucci’s monogram motif reads ‘GG’ (for Guccio Gucci)—which, in gaming lingo, also stands for “Good Game.” This parallelism is highlighted on the front of the vintage-esque luggage. Meanwhile, its inner lining is quilted in Xbox’s green.

Of course, Xbox Series X itself has been given a luxurious treatment.

It sports a body laser-engraved in Gucci’s monogram, while the two wireless controllers are banded with Gucci’s blue and red stripes.

The boss-stage level Xbox Series X bundle will debut in Gucci’s locations in New York City, Beverly Hills, Mexico City, London, Milan, Tokyo, Berlin, and Beijing on November 17.
