Brands might be riding on the wave of
3D billboards these days, but Louis Vuitton has had a version of these that was created well ahead of them. For years, the luxury fashion house has decked out the tall corner of its Fifth Avenue store in New York City with captivating street art.
The latest installation aims to bring festive cheer to onlookers in the area. Depicting a 2D-yet-not-quite Christmas tree, the mural is a stunning 12 stories of green with Louis Vuitton-branded ornaments.
The art, located by 57th Street, joins Louis Vuitton’s
homage to the late Virgil Abloh, which replaces the holiday theme in window displays with the writing “Virgil Was Here.” These tributes can be seen at boutiques around the world.
