Carrie-Anne Moss’ ‘Matrix’ Dress With ‘Digital Rain’ Causes Internet To Glitch

J.Lo has a contender for iconic green dress. The internet was ablaze when The Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss turned up at the Resurrections premiere in the most elegant tribute to the franchise, embedded in elements synonymous with the films.
Moss captivated with a black bespoke pleated silk chiffon gown and cape, courtesy of Dominican fashion house Oscar de la Renta. The getup is a clear nod at Trinity from the movies, though the true star is the sci-fi twist added by Moss’ stylist Sydney Lopez and Oscar de la Renta designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia to the skirt.
Creative use of sequins and elaborate threadwork brings The Matrix’s unmistakable “digital rain” to life, reminding that the Matrix is all around us.
Moss topped off the classy yet futuristic look with custom earrings and a ring by jewelry designer Lillian Shalom, who the stylist says dove right into the concept after hearing how the star would be dressed—“being excited about my ideas and going for it with just a few days to make this happen.”
