Netflix’s Christmas Displays ‘Terrorized’ By Monsters In Global ‘Witcher’ Promos

Festive snowglobes set up by Netflix are tinged with terror. To plug the second season of the famed The Witcher series, the streaming giant planted monsters, called Myriapods, to haunt cities around the world.
Produced by agency collective The Network, the global campaign has these massive centipede-like creatures infest billboards and streets with high foot traffic.
In Bangkok, Thailand, a life-sized Myriapod jumps from screen to screen across buildings, taking over a space of 6,000 square feet.
New York City’s Times Square was shaken when a monster “shattered” an LED billboard and broke free. Similar sightings have been made in Italy, Berlin, Denmark, and the Netherlands.
You could say that these monsters have almost dampened the holiday spirit, ruining what would otherwise be lovely-looking giant snowglobes in NYC, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Milan, Moscow, Spain, and more. The Myriapods replace the reindeer and presents typically seen in such objects, their giant selves taking up almost the entire height of the 16-foot installations.
Luckily, their stays are short-lived. All episodes of the second season were released on December 17, so you can catch up while being safely tucked in bed—far away from these creatures.
