Named the PrimaLoft insulation x Parley Ocean Plastic, the high-performance material was used to create pieces such as the Podium Jacket.
Not only is it eco-friendly and saves the ocean from plastic waste, but the material is also thermal, durable, and breathable—exactly what an elite athlete needs at the Winter Olympics, as per Hypebeast.
The official Olympic Village shoe will be the brand’s famed Ultraboost sneakers, with British Olympic Association Chief Andy Anson commending the “iconic look” that allows UK athletes to stand out.
“We know our athletes, who have shown such resilience to continue their preparations, feel a huge amount of pride when they were their kit, and we can’t wait to see them sporting it in Beijing as they strive to inspire the nation once again,” said Mike Sharrock, CEO of the British Paralympic Association.
