Zoom Brings Air Gestures So You Can Send Reactions With Your Hands
By Alexa Heah, 21 Apr 2022
If you’re tired of looking for the thumbs-up emoji in Zoom meetings, the brand’s latest update for its Mac and Windows apps will make sending reactions even simpler.
Now, you just have to raise your hand or give a thumbs-up in front of your computer camera, and it’ll automatically send the appropriate response to the chat.
As Engadget put it, this may serve as a way to elicit more natural interactions among participants in classroom or meeting settings, where instead of tapping on buttons, they’ll now be able to react in real-time.
To enable the feature, update your Zoom app to version 5.10.3 or higher, and toggle the settings to switch it on.
In the spirit of collaboration, the company has also updated its Whiteboard experience so you can add on shapes, connectors, sticky notes, images, and more when working on an assignment with coworkers.
