Gucci Takes A Stir Of Booze With Its First-Ever Cocktail
By Nicole Rodrigues, 21 Jun 2022
Nobody romanticizes ordinary objects the way Gucci does. Its trademark flare when inflected onto just about anything can make an item spectacular and peculiar at the same time.
In its newest venture, the whimsical high luxury brand has now entered the world of cocktails as it has created its own signature drink in conjunction with Giorgia Bargiani from London’s Cannaught Bar.
Named the Elisir d’Elicriso, the pre-mixed cocktail is housed in a pink crystal bottle and has an emerald green tag hanging from its neck with its name. The drink was made for Gucci’s opulent bar and café Gucci Giardino 25, which opened in Florence, Italy, earlier this year.
An elixir of Mediterranean herbs and essential oils from the helichrysum italicum plant make up the components of the cocktail. Each sip of the drink’s earthy and spicy notes will make you feel as if you were sitting under the Tuscan sun, with its rolling hills and cypress trees and the sweet smell of summer in the air, a nod to the Tuscanian roots of both the brand and Bargiani.
The beverage is a versatile one and can be sipped multiple ways, from a martini to a dash of if it in your champagne or with tonic water as a highball. No matter how you take your alcohol, if you’re drinking Gucci, you’ll certainly be drinking in style.
The only setback is that you’ll have to actually travel to Gucci Giardino in Florence to try it, where the beguiling cocktail is available exclusively, or ordered online only in Italy.
