Playboy Mansion To Open Its Doors Once Again, This Time In The Metaverse
By Nicole Rodrigues, 12 Jul 2022
Ever wanted to visit the Playboy Mansion? Here’s your chance to do so… virtually. Playboy has worked together with virtual world builder The Sandbox to bring the MetaMansion into the metaverse.
The media brand, started by Hugh Hefner, is getting a digital counterpart fully equipped with immersive mini-games, social gatherings, special events, and its collection of non-fungible tokens called Rabbitars—released in October 2021 and inspired by the famous bunny logo.
Those who already hold a Rabbitar token will receive special VIP privileges, which consist of experiences, quests, and giveaways. They will also be given the opportunity to shape the future of MetaMansion.
The digital house will take inspiration from the last 70 years of Playboy history, including its archive of media and art, a recreation of the iconic mansion, and the lavish parties that thrived within it.
Anybunny home? ð°ðð We're teaming up with none other than.... @playboy! ð¯âï¸

While there is no word yet on when the mansion will open its virtual doors, fans can stay updated through The Sandbox.
The MetaMansion is Playboy’s next step into Web3, along with the creation of its creator platform Centerfold. It joins other established magazines such as TIME which also has worked with The Sandbox to create TIME Square.
