‘Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey’ Movie Gets An Official, Horrifying Poster

Remember Winnie-the-Pooh, the silly ol’ bear who always had a rumbly in his tummy for hunny? It appears he’s all grown up… and has developed some sweet, murderous tendencies.
In the forthcoming Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, Pooh and Piglet are dealt with some serious abandonment issues after Christopher Robin leaves the woods for college, kind of like what Andy did to Woody in the Toy Story franchise.
Without a voice of reason, the deserted best friends—now partners in crime—default to their animal roots and become feral.

In reality, the characters have gotten their killer arc after Disney lost exclusive rights to the version of Winnie-the-Pooh in the A.A. Milne stories, having crossed the 95-year mark of the books’ copyright and officially joining the public domain. This leaves anyone, even horror film studios, to adapt the tales. Disney’s iterations of Pooh Bear, however, are still protected by copyright.
Obviously, the House of Mouse had no part in the making of Blood and Honey. The credit goes to Rhys Frake-Waterfield and UK-based Jagged Edge Productions, who reportedly wrapped up filming for the production back in May, Variety reports.
Although a release date isn’t out, the studio has shared the first poster for the slasher-comedy film, along with more teaser photos.
The poster features the killer bear smiling menacingly, with a bloody sledgehammer in hand. Below, a knife-wielding Piglet gives the viewer a threatening glare.
“This ain’t no bedtime story,” the tagline warns. Although the main antagonist is officially named Winnie the Pooh in this film, the logo cheekily includes strokes that look like hyphens, alluding to the Disney version.
