Xbox Builds Basketball Court Inspired By Its Video Game Console

Microsoft’s Xbox and New York Liberty invite fans to get their game on with a new basketball court designed after the famous game console.
The gaming-inspired playing area, created for the WNBA and housed at the Barclays Center, will serve as the arena for a match played against the Los Angeles Sparks.
The court features the iconic Xbox green cast against dark hardwood floors, with dots of green against black represent the vents of the Xbox Series X. Electric green waves are seen rippling on the floor, reminiscent of the way the console lights up. Lining the edge is the same green with sponsor titles written in stark white.
Fans who can’t go down to the venue in person still take the basketball spirit online via the Infinite Canvas’ Dunking Simulator on Roblox.
Within the online arena, fans will be treated to metaverse-only features such as fireworks, pyrotechnics, fan chants, and more. Users on Roblox can also unlock special NY Liberty and Xbox merch for their avatars.
Microsoft also added that it will be donating US$50,000 to Kobe Bryant’s Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation and the Girl’s Who Code foundation in aid of women’s representation in sports and science.
