Human-Sized Dog Bed Lets You Sleep Alongside—Or Just Like—Your Pet
By Nicole Rodrigues, 23 Aug 2022
Ever get jealous of your dog when it’s nuzzled in its cozy little bed? Well, here is your chance to experience it for yourself.
A group of students at the University of British Columbia has created ‘Plufl’, a human-sized dog bed for all your alternative napping desires. It’s basically a large cushion for you to curl up into after a long day of playing catch-your-goals outside.
Its sides are raised slightly, like a typical dog bed, to keep you nice and secure so you can sleep like a dog... sorry, log.
While sleeping on the couch or laying in bed for a quick nap may appear to be the usual solution to feeling drowsy, after seeing how comfortable it looks, you’ll wonder why no one else thought of it first.
The bed is made from organic materials and has memory foam support. Its one-size-fits-all standard bed can fit two nappers, both up to six-foot-five each.
Once you’re done napping, you can just roll the bed up easily and store it away until you’re ready for your next dognap.
The Plufl was created by Noah Silverman and Yuki Kinoshita, two tired college students who were looking for a better way to rest without fully committing to getting into bed. The idea was sparked between them after visiting a café one day and seeing a large dog sleeping in its bed.
Each bed is being sold for US$499.
