All Future Apple iPhone 15 Models May Come With ‘Dynamic Island’ Display, Too
By Alexa Heah, 21 Sep 2022

At its most recent event, Apple unveiled an entirely new design for its iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max smartphones, ditching the controversial notch for a ‘Dynamic Island’, blurring the lines between hardware and software.
The cutout, which at first appears pill-shaped, adapts in real-time to alerts and notifications, forming an interactive display that provides users with on-the-go information, such as live sports scores, music, or other Live Activities.
According to a tweet spotted by MacRumors, it seems Apple may be considering adding the Dynamic Island to all models in its upcoming iPhone 15 lineup. Display Analyst Ross Young predicted that the cutout will feature on all of the brand’s 2023 smartphones.
Young has had a good track record with Apple leaks, having correctly reported that the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros would include improved ProMotion display technology and that the latest MacBook Air would be available in a slightly larger 13.6-inch screen.
In addition, it’s rumored that the technology giant will only be limiting the ProMotion 120Hz display to its Pro versions due to possible supply chain issues that “can’t support” adding the improved feature to all models.
Will this switch be the catalyst for more users switching to newer iPhones? With wait times for the iPhone 14 Pro models up to six weeks long, the ‘pill’ could very well be the dynamic force that pushes Apple a notch above the rest.
Yes, Dynamic Island expected on standard models on the 15. Still not expecting 120Hz/LTPO on standard models as supply chain can’t support it.
