This Yacht Transforms Into A Submarine So You Can Vacation Above & Underwater

If U-Boat Worx’s personal submarine was not enough for you, here comes the whole ship.
During the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show, U-Boat Worx took the stage to debut its latest project, a craft that doubles as a submarine.
‘Nautilus’ is a 1,250-ton, 123-foot long vessel that can dive into the ocean as a submarine or float on the waves as a yacht.
The submersible has a depth rating of over 650 feet and an underwater speed of four knots. Above the water, it has a surface cruise of nine knots. Under the hull, the boat hosts a diesel-electric system that can power the ship up to 3,200 nautical miles—or the distance of the Atlantic Ocean.
If you’re looking to sail on the open water and enjoy the sunshine, the top deck—or the yacht portion of the Nautilus—offers an expansive sundeck, a pool onboard, a bar, and outdoor dining areas. In addition, it has four staterooms, indoor lounge areas, a galley, and crew quarters.
Now, say you want to do some deep-sea exploration; the top portion can be submerged and sealed away so that you can dive into the ocean. This is perfect if you ever get caught at sea during a bad storm and can’t handle the high tides. All you need to do is retract your yacht and watch it as it transforms into a submarine and dips beneath the waves to ride the storm out.
According to U-Boat Worx, you can safely stay under the water for up to four days at a time without having to resurface.
The luxury submersible also comes with a luxury price tag. With a price tag of US$25 million, U-Boat Worx has also thrown in an electric tender boat for day trips to islands.
