Over-The-Top iPhone 14 Pro Max Case Has A Rolex Watch Built In For Timekeeping

Last year, following the release of Apple’s iPhone lineup, luxury gadget customizer Caviar launched the ‘Tyrannophone’, an iPhone 13 Pro engraved with a hyperrealistic T-Rex, complete with an 80 million-year-old tooth fragment from the dinosaur.
If the US$9,000 price tag seemed incredulous back then, it’s stepped up its game this year, now offering an iPhone 14 Pro Max paired with a Rolex Daytona that’s retailing for over $100,000.
Aptly dubbed ‘Grand Complications’, the collection features smartphones that are said to be “literally complicated” by featuring a mechanical chronograph, which is known to be challenging to produce.
Aside from the Rolex wristwatch and latest iPhone, the Daytona model comprises decorative sensors—made from 18K gold—inspired by the control panel of super race cars, and the connection the watches have to motor racing.
Interestingly, it turns out the Cosmograph Daytona was named after the Daytona Beach and Road Course in Florida, which had a record speed of 272.465 mph in 1933.
A few decades later, Rolex officially began sponsoring the race, hence producing one of its most iconic watches under the same name. Why not savor the need for speed right alongside your most-used gadget?
If you’re looking for something more grunge, there’s the Skeleton Booster version, created by implanting a skeleton watch into the device, with added black grilles and glowing titanium bolts for a darker look.
An iPhone 14 Pro Grand Complications 128GB Skeleton Booster will start from US$10,320, while the more expensive iPhone 14 Pro Max Grand Complications Daytona 1TB will be sold as a one-of-one copy for US$134,250.
