Convertible E-Bike Can Go From Motorcycle To Snowmobile During Winter
By Nicole Rodrigues, 17 Dec 2022
From dirt roads to snowy roads, this convertible e-bike can take you from the height of summer to the depths of winter by morphing into a snowmobile for you to plow through snow.
Understanding that e-bikes and snowmobiles don’t come cheap, Daymak has decided to roll both into one with its Combat Bike instead. As a result, the vehicle can transition from trekking through mountains during summer to racing across fresh powder in winter.
The multi-seasonal bike can do so using track and ski attachments that you can swap on or off depending on the weather outside.
Combat houses a 5,000W chassis which provides around 14,000W or just under 19hp. The e-rider has a 4.8 kWh battery and can travel up to 50 miles at a speed of 44 mph.
That said, you should refrain from trying to ride this thing on city roads, as it’s not meant to be street-legal. Instead, it’s aimed at adventurers who enjoy speeding around nature or those with a lot of private land.
Daymak is estimating a June 2023 delivery where each bike will be sold for a base price of US$13,995 and can go up to US$14,999 for the Deluxe Edition—though it’s not yet clear what will make it deluxe.
