Burger King Releases Chillwear With Insulated Pockets To Protect Your Whopper
By Mikelle Leow, 19 Dec 2022
When you hear “flame-grilled,” something toasty usually comes to mind. Alas, the cold season doesn’t create the right climate for that. It’s been a long time coming, but Burger King has finally released a hoodie to accommodate quick icy trips between your local fast-food joint and back home.
The Home of the Whopper has designed a temporary warm home for your Whopper with “retro-futuristic chillwear” brand Staycoolnyc, so you and your favorite burger can stay in your comfort zones during the cold.
Embroidered on the front of the off-white sweater is a patch depicting a Whopper, sandwiched by the words “Stay Cool.” A crown illustration on one of the sleeves doubles down the fact that the garment is fit for snuggly kings and queens.
The stars of the show, however, are the pair of built-in pockets with “insulated warming technology” to offer your Whopper the hug it deserves, or keep your hands safe from frostbite when you’re done with lunch. Oh, and the feature gives rivals a grand total of zero chances to crack jokes about frozen beef.
Warmth is baked into this piece, which is constructed from a premium cotton and poly fleece blend.
The BK WarmCore Hoodie currently retails on the Burger King merch site, while supplies last.
Burger King is not the only one to launch warming outfits this season, though—Hot Pockets has also released shorts with actual “hot pockets” that boast a similar warming functionality for its microwaveable turnovers. The twinning concepts suggest one thing: Global warming may be bad, but it’s not so bad (yet) for it to naturally heats up our snacks. So thank goodness for that.
