Lionel Messi’s World Cup Qatar Room Could Be Turned Into A Museum

Following Argentina’s historic World Cup win at this year’s Qatar World Cup, Lionel Messi has been hailed as one of the greatest soccer players of all time. So much so that 43.7% of citizens polled said they wouldn’t mind the maestro taking over as president.
Now, there’s talk that Messi’s accommodation during the tournament at Qatar University’s ‘room number 201’, could be converted into a museum in honor of the soccer great.
Hitmi al Hitmi, Director of Communications and Public Relations at Qatar University, told local newspaper Al Sharq that the contents of the room will remain unchanged, and from now on, will only be made available “for visitors and not for residence.”
According to AugustMan, not many details have been revealed about what the museum will entail, though it will allow the player’s fans to picture themselves in Messi’s position as he prepared for the competition and rested in between matches.
There’s no doubt that the museum will become a sought-after destination for ardent soccer fans.
During his time in Qatar, Messi broke records for the most tournament appearances for Argentina, moved up to the 4th spot for having scored the most goals at the FIFA World Cup, and captained his country for the most matches in its history.
