Lenovo Twists Up New Dual-Screen Laptop That Can Turn Into An E-Ink Tablet

Laptop makers are dreaming of new ways to reel in the crowds with novel notebooks that could serve a real purpose in everyday use. Whether it’s a multiscreen setup that can be taken on the go or a display with 3D capabilities that doesn’t require eyewear, they’re all a sight for sore eyes.
Long-time users of Lenovo might remember one of the first rotating laptops from the company, the ThinkPad X41, back in 2005. Well, its latest ThinkBook Twist takes things up a notch and spins them around; it places an OLED screen on the outside and can literally twist itself into a tablet to reveal a secondary colored e-ink screen on its back.
The bonus display is there for you to use as an e-reader or a whiteboard when sharing ideas with friends and collaborators. In light of this, it does support a stylus, and so does the OLED screen on the inside for optimal notetaking.
Adding on to its versatility, Lenovo states that both screens can be used in the clamshell form factor or twisted into a tablet, depending on the user’s needs. It is also suggested that the e-ink display can ease the load on the battery and one’s eyes when working for long periods.
Regarding its specs, the Twist is a 12-inch notebook with a 56Wh battery, a fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos-supported speakers, and a full HD webcam. It even supports WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1.
The ThinkBook Twist is slated to arrive in June this year and will retail for US$1,649.
