Minimalistic Lamp Garners Solar Energy To Mimic The Rising And Setting Sun
By Nicole Rodrigues, 23 Jan 2023
Lamps that can simulate sunrises and sunsets are not a new concept. Such lights are a favored bedside tool for those wishing to wake up with the gentle glow of sunrise instead of their alarm blaring off.
Sunne takes this idea to the next level by harvesting the sun’s actual power and converting that energy into a lamp that emulates the natural glows of dawn and dusk.
The minimalistic lamp is made of a curved aluminum strip that measures 31 inches and can be hung from two simple steel wires in front of your window to evoke the image of the horizon right in your living room. Featuring a larger surface area, the solar cells embedded in it can capture more energy throughout the day.
As it charges up, it will automatically turn on at sundown. However, if you wish to switch it on and off at different times of the day, you can gently tap its sensor on its frame or by using its app. There, you will also find three different settings—Sunne Rise, Sunne Set, and Sunne Light.
The lamp places the beauty of the sun directly in your home while using power now from it. It’s an innovative tech that also provides any home with the benefits of clean solar light.
Sunne is retailing for US$1,082.31 on the company’s website.
