Just Stop Oil, the environmental activist group known for targeting artworks, is now wearing its disdain for fossil fuel projects on its sleeve. The nonprofit is retailing a children’s t-shirt with a design inspired by its infamous tomato soup stunt at the National Gallery in London.
The ‘Soup-It-Yourself’ tee depicts Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers masterpiece, untarnished just like the merchandise seen at museum shops.
The piece, priced at US$24 and available in sizes for wearers aged six months to two years, is made to be “customized” with liquefied foods and the ilk, mimicking the group’s demonstrations.
In a tongue-in-cheek statement, Just Stop Oil comments that the T-shirt is “perfect for someone very vocal,” adding, “Soup not included.” Proceeds from the t-shirt sales go towards funding Just Stop Oil’s activism efforts.
