Flu Medicine’s Slimy Mascot Mr Mucus Has People Unexpectedly Hot & Bothered

There’s truly someone out there for everyone. Even if you’re a slimy, giant carrier of germs.
With M&M’s ‘spokescandies’ out of sight, members of the public are now turning their attention to Mr Mucus, the antagonistic mascot of Mucinex that it vows to get rid of.
While the major cold and flu medicine brand has held a social media presence for some time, Mr Mucus’ accounts are fairly new. Mr Mucus is the walking embodiment of snot. He’s green, hates soap, and obnoxiously promotes the growth of phlegm. Yet, his presence is somehow making superfans thirsty—and not because they have a sore throat. Everyone is feverish for a bad boy, it seems.
“Is there a Mrs Mucus?” one person on Instagram asks.
Responding to a video of Mr Mucus warming himself up in front of a fire, one fan comments: “That fire isn’t as hot as the thought of having you with me, Mr Mucus.”
“I can help you stretch, Mr Mucus,” someone divulges on a clip of the unorthodox sex symbol stretching.
“I am getting down on one knee,” admits another.
Why, you ask. Well, why the heck snot?
Could it be his dad bod, his large smile, or unwavering eye contact? Are people still grappling with COVID brain? Who knows? Attraction is attraction is contagious.
