Coca-Cola Smartphone Pops With Its Coke Can-Like Feel, Zesty Theme

What’s more satisfying than unlocking your phone and hearing a click? Well, how about the sound of a soda bottle being opened?
Images of a Coca-Cola-themed phone have been floating around recently, appealing to fans’ thirst for the refreshing model. Now, Realme—a Chinese electronics firm that calls OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo some of its sister brands—has come forward to identify itself as the manufacturer of the rumored phone.
The Realme 10 Pro Coca-Cola Edition pulls out all the stops in paying homage to the globally beloved beverage. Its finish, for one, is crafted from a ‘Matte Imitation Metal Process’ to mimic the feel of the aluminum can in your hand.
A nice touch is its partial logo, since the Coca-Cola branding isn’t usually entirely in view when you hold the packaging.
You can taste the feeling of Coke even with the handset’s UI, which is built in with themed wallpapers, app icons, and ringtones.
Starting up your phone, for instance, prompts the brand jingle. And the camera plays the invigorating sound of a Coca-Cola bottle being opened when you take a picture, instead of triggering the usual shutter noise. To top it all off, notifications are accompanied by the sound of “fizzing liquid bubbles.”
The special-edition box that comes with the Realme 10 Pro Coca-Cola Edition also features the same matte, metallic sheen seen on the phone and on Coke cans.
There are more treats inside, like a figurine depicting Realme’s mascot Real-meow—which is filled with Coca-Cola-like bubbles—and a SIM tray ejector tool shaped like a bottle cap.
In terms of specs, the smartphone runs on Realme UI 4.0, which is built on Android 13. Its main camera boasts a 108-megapixel image sensor and two-megapixel depth sensor, while its front-facing camera comes in at 16 megapixels.
The phone also features a 6.7-inch LCD display with a 93.76% screen-to-body ratio and barely-there 1mm side bezels, along with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080 x 2400 resolution.
The Realme 10 Pro carries a 5,000 mAh battery, and its 33W fast charger powers it up from 0% to 50% in a half-hour. It’s powered on the 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC, and packs in 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
All in all, it’s a decent option, but you’ll probably be left parched if you’re expecting top-tier quality. As Forbes points out, the OLED technology and ultra-wide shooter are absent here.
Still, this is a mid-range model we’re talking about. In India, one of the few markets to stock the special edition, the rare Realme 10 Pro Coca-Cola Edition—which is numbered, to boot—is priced at just 20,999 Indian Rupees (US$255).
