Samsung Ropes In Beloved Pop-Culture Icons To Create Eco-Friendly Accessories

Samsung wants you to simultaneously protect your gadgets and the environment by releasing a new line of eco-friendly phone covers, watch straps, and earbud cases that derive from sustainable origins.
 
The ‘Eco-Friends’ collection comprises accessories for the new Galaxy S23, the Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and the Galaxy Watch 5. These are made of more than 40% PCM (Post Consumer Material), recycled plastic, and vegan leather.
 
Within the collection, fans of Star Wars, Hello Kitty, The Simpsons, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pokémon, and more will find all sorts of accessories stylized after these pop-culture icons to adorn their gadgets. Customers can also come down to its popup store in Yeouido, Seoul, to customize their accessories.
 
The Eco-Friends lineup was designed through the SMAPP (Samsung Mobile Accessories Partnership Program), which ensures quality standards for consumers.
 
This green effort doesn’t just stop at fun phone cases; the company has also been reworking production for its other devices so that a number of its phones have also been made from recycled materials, the new S23 line included.
 
More information is scarce at the moment, and there is yet to be a word when precisely Eco-Friends will be found in Samsung stores worldwide.
