DJI Drone Goggles Take The Gaze To New Heights With First-Person View
By Nicole Rodrigues, 31 Mar 2023
Have you ever watched aerial footage of a city or a mountain range and wished you could experience such unbridled freedom as you glide through the skies? Drone company DJI has just released its newest goggles, the ‘Integra’, which offer a first-person view of what your drone sees without your feet ever leaving the ground.
The Integra builds upon its predecessor, the Goggles 2, and has integrated its battery into the headband, allowing you to move around with ease wihtout being tethered to a cable. In addition, the headset weighs just 410 grams and offers an ergonomic and comfortable experience.
However, it’s not just about the comfort—the Integra boasts a 6.2-mile range with O3+ video transmissions and a 50Mbps video feed with a latency as low as 30ms.
In addition, you can enjoy stunning 1080p Micro-OLED screens with a 700-nit brightness rate and a 100 Hx refresh rate, allowing you to feel like you’re flying right alongside your drone.
And if you’re worried about eye strain, don’t be. The Integra comes with 11 pairs of swappable lenses that range from -8.0 D to +2.0 D. You can even adjust the Interpupillary Distance (IPD) between 56 and 72mm. A blue light filter has been added to ensure maximum comfort during long flights.
The Integra also allows you to fly without connecting a smartphone, thanks to the built-in GPS. Once your journey is done, you share your experience with others by connecting to the DJI Fly app. The Integra offers everything you need to take to the skies and experience the world from a new perspective.
If you’re ready to take flight, the goggles can be found on DJI’s website for US$499.
