KFC Celebrates Authentic, Imperfect Faces Of Pure Deliciousness In New Ads

How often have you seen commercials in which the actors are gazing lovingly at a burger? Or laughing out loud while tucking into a salad? Truth is, no one looks like that when truly enjoying a meal, and a new campaign from KFC Spain is here to prove that.

Celebrating the authentic, imperfect, and sometimes ridiculous faces we all make when digging into something delicious, the fried chicken chain collaborated with creative agency PS21 to come up with a series of advertisements showing off genuine faces of enjoyment.

The visuals portray different customers seated in KFC outlets throughout Madrid, with only one thing in common: experiencing joy while eating fried chicken. Each shot zooms into the facial expressions of each person, while You Are So Beautiful croons away in the background.

“We all know that the more we enjoy something, the more ridiculous grimaces become, and that’s amazingly beautiful. This is the idea we want to share with the campaign, touching the audience with something [as] basic as fried chicken, said PS21 Executive Director Victor Blanco.

“This piece shows in a tangible and realistic way the experience of utmost enjoyment when eating KFC, moving you into an emotional state of mind in such an intimate and pleasurable moment as taking a bite of our fried chicken,” added Beatriz Martínez, Brand Manager at KFC Spain and Portugal.
