Apple Unveils Digital ‘Journal’ That Helps You Keep Track Of Life
By Alexa Heah, 06 Jun 2023
For years, journaling apps have been popular among smartphone users, with the likes of Day One, Penzu, Diaro, and Reflectly boasting millions of downloads. Now, with the introduction of its upcoming iOS 17, Apple will be launching a life tracker of its own.
Simply titled Journal, the forthcoming application will allow users to jot down their thoughts, schedules, and reflections daily. The best part? Individuals won’t be left to come up with the content all on their own, as device machine learning will offer personalized suggestions.
For example, using the information found on one’s iPhone, the feature will curate a list of possible memories to log, including pictures, location, music workouts, and more. Users can then pick which they’d like to include in their personal records.
In addition, for those who often forget to reflect daily, notifications can be scheduled for the start or end of the day as a reminder to write. There’s no need to worry about others peeking at the entries either, as Journal comes with end-to-end encryption and a secure lock.
