Netflix Creates ‘Streamberry’ Site To Trap You Further Into ‘Black Mirror’ World
By Mikelle Leow, 20 Jun 2023
Ever fancied your life its own television show? As Black Mirror’s new episode has suggested, it probably isn’t as wonderful as it sounds.
Just in case you’d like to dip your toe in this intrusive fantasy, though, you can still picture yourself as the main character of a horrendously familiar series with ‘Streamberry’, a faux streaming platform set up by Netflix.
The website is just like the one in the dystopian anthology show’s Joan is Awful episode, which follows a woman (played by Annie Murphy of Schitt’s Creek) who discovers her entire life has been adapted into a drama series starring A-lister Salma Hayek.
As you can see, Streamberry is a parody of Netflix itself, complete with an identical layout and brand palette. Fans get to experience this alternate-reality streamer for themselves on Streamberry.tv, where they’ll be asked to explore fictional programs like Mad Mind (riffing off crime documentaries and Black Mirror: Bandersnatch), Selling San Junipero (inspired by Selling Sunset and Black Mirror’s San Junipero), Five Stars at a Wedding (based on Black Mirror’s Nosedive), Ashley On A Roll Tour Live! (a spin on Black Mirror’s Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too), and Rowdy and Peanut (à la Netflix’s Cat Burglar).
Further immersing audiences, Netflix’s UK and Ireland Twitter account has also played along by temporarily rebranding as ‘Streamberry’ and inviting audiences to “join the Streamberry family.”

Through the Streamberry site, fans can also dream up their own Is Awful shows by uploading their names and photos.
Sounds dreadful. Time to register an account.
