MSCHF’s Big Red Boot Is Arriving In Black To Play Your Life Like A B&W Cartoon

In case you haven’t heard, fashionistas have been controversially turning the stomping grounds of reality into a cartoon universe 0f late. Since dropping earlier this year, MSCHF’s unforgettable Big Red Boot has drawn direct comparisons with Astro Boy’s shoes, thanks in large to their oversized, bulbous form.
For those who wish to be a touch more low-profile, you’re in luck. MSCHF—the very same Brooklyn art collective who tempted fate with Nike by making ‘Satan Shoes’—is bringing back the cartoonlike rubber footwear in black.
The desaturated pair was spotted on videographer and content creator Javel Berlin. MSCHF later confirmed with Highsnobiety that the Big Black Boot isn’t a one-off and will indeed roll out someday.

A similar iteration was recently seen on Hong Eunchae, a member of K-pop girl group Le Sserafim, in the music video of their song Unforgiven. This version, however, looks darker and was likely customized for the video.

MSCHF hasn’t shared when the Big Black Boot is officially stepping into the real world, however.
With that said, if you’re willing to go full caricature, the brand has just transformed the oversized boot into highlighter-yellow clogs with Crocs.
