Following the viral launch of an US$890 pigeon clutch last year, JW Anderson is back with yet another animal-inspired tote, this time in the shape of a frog.
The curious bag, which first debuted at the brand’s FW23 runway show earlier this year, taps into burgeoning 3D printing technology.
With green skin accompanying a pair of large, yellow eyes, the airbrushed frog looks even more lifelike than its flying counterpart. Plus, this time, a magnet opening on the 3D-printed creature allows its mouth open to reveal a red orifice in which wearers can store items.
According to the brand, the clutch is made of 100% resin and measures 20 cm (7.87 inches) by 30 cm (11.8 inches) by 10 cm (3.93 inches). The designer’s name is etched onto the piece with an embossed logo.
Oddly enough, thisisn’t the first time the designer is working with frogs, as the label recreated Lady Diana’s young children’s frog boots for adults earlier this year.
