A colorful Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles mural in Shoreditch, London, might leave passersby shell-shocked—and even more so when it becomes neon at night.
To commemorate the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem in theaters on July 31, Paramount Pictures commissioned Global Street Art, a collective with an aspiration to “live in painted cities,” to bring Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo (the turtles, not the painters) to a building on 96 Whitechapel High Street in a larger-than-life activation. The oversized work doubles as a poster you can view from your window, reminding onlookers to book their tickets now.

The real pizza-zz, however, is apparent after dark. Created using ultraviolet paint, the vibrant artwork lights up at night. The display measures 137 square meters (1,475 square feet), which makes it the tallest UV light-reactive mural in the UK, per Little Black Book.
The artwork was put together by four artists over a span of five days, and used up over 200 cans of paint.

It’s one of several installations that have recently sprung up to honor the 90s favorite. Creatives in Manchester City have integrated the New York locals by having the characters “sit” on walls near public seats—with a slice of ’za in hand, of course—and “leaping” over doors.

At London’s Leake Street, dynamic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artwork covers a popular graffiti tunnel—famously vivid as it’s one of the rare places where it’s legal to spray on the walls. The road tunnel currently plays host to a series of themed events, including retro gaming at an Arcade Alley and the handing out of free pizza.
As for the Whitechapel mural, it will stay aglow until August 22.
