‘Ted Lasso’ Gets Official Box Of Shortbreads For Biscuits With The Boss IRL

So you’ve got your AFC Richmond jersey, but it turns out that another slice of Ted Lasso’s legacy has been baking behind the scenes. In collaboration with Warner Bros Discovery, gourmet food retailer Mackenzie Limited has introduced official ‘Biscuits with the Boss’ shortbread cookies, inspired by the yummy routine of the zealous coach from the award-winning Apple TV+ series.

The launch comes months after producers revealed that the sports comedy had potentially blown its final whistle with season three. Now, you can munch your withdrawals away with these “conversation-worthy biscuits,” which come complete with that iconic pink box.

As fans would recall, Ted (played by Jason Sudeikis) embarked on each workday by first walking into the office of AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) with a box of hand-baked shortbread cookies—or biscuits, as they’re called across the pond—to have a nice chat with the boss.

The optimism-inducing treats, now ready to cheer up eaters everywhere, are “a touch salty, a touch sweet, and always buttery and rich,” Mackenzie explains. “One bite of these Ted Lasso shortbread cookies with their signature crumbly texture and you’ll realize why Ted believed in the power of biscuits.”

“Sharing a shortbread biscuit is an invitation to connect and share a moment of warmth and friendship,” shares Laura McManus, president of Mackenzie Limited. “We created our ‘Biscuits with the Boss’ to taste just like they came from Ted Lasso’s kitchen.”

Each pink box consists of 10 shortbread fingers, with the recommendation that you bond over them with your boss or friend. Though, it should be said that as the captain of your life, you’re also your own boss, which means no one’s stopping you from keeping the entire thing to yourself.

The real-life Biscuits with the Boss can now be ordered on Mackenzie’s website, while supplies last, for US$29.95. Depending on who you ask (especially Ted), tea may be optional.

Those who get their dose of inspiration in the kitchen will be glad to know that Apple TV+ has also shared the actual recipe for Ted Lasso’s famous cookies.
