PUMA Releases Its First-Ever Shoes Designed Specially For Indoor Cycling
By Nicole Rodrigues, 29 Sep 2023
PUMA, the iconic sportswear brand, has ventured into uncharted territory with its first-ever indoor cycling shoe in collaboration with Peloton instructor Alex Toussaint, called the PUMA PWRSPIN x Alex Toussaint.
With the rise in popularity of spin classes, there seems to be more of a demand for workout gear tailored to suit those who participate in these exercises. As such, PUMA and Toussaint have answered the call of the masses with a pair of shoes that were designed to keep you strapped in and ready to cycle your way to a healthier body.
This shoe is tailored for indoor cycling fans in a visually striking black and silver design. Beyond aesthetics, its engineering is geared for optimal performance, mainly thanks to its Carbon PWRPLATE outsole and PUMA’s patented 3D PWRPRINT.
These are the cleat-like “heels” you see on the underside of the sneakers. They work in tandem by helping your feet grip better onto the bike’s pedals, providing stability and support throughout your ride.
The ULTRAWEAVE upper reduces friction and discomfort, ensuring your focus remains on the pedals. What’s more, it even comes with a Laceless Disc Fit system, potentially to stop your laces from undoing themselves and getting caught up in the bike.
The shoes come in matte silver and are now available online and in-store for US$120.
