Apple’s popular MacBook Air just got a refresh, packing a faster M3 chip and a few other surprises into its iconic thin and light design.
Muscling up performance is the M3 chip, the tech giant’s latest generation processor found in the 2023 MacBook Pro and iMac. It promises up to 60% faster CPU performance and double the graphics prowess compared to the previous M1 chip. This translates to smoother multitasking, faster video editing, and even handling demanding games with ease. Plus, M3 features a revolutionary ‘Dynamic Caching’ system that optimizes memory use for each task, further boosting performance without developers needing to break a sweat.

The array arrives with a 13.3-inch or a new 15.4-inch Liquid Retina display, both boasting a crisp 2,560 x 1,600 resolution. The sleek and thin aluminum chassis remains, now available in four colors—Starlight, Space Gray, and Silver—as well as a new, fingerprint-resistant Midnight option.

Expect up to 18 hours of battery life to power you through your day, Wi-Fi 6E for undisrupted connectivity, and two Thunderbolt ports for connecting all your essentials.
MagSafe charging ensures quick and convenient power-ups, while a 1,080p FaceTime HD camera and a three-microphone array keep you connected with crystal-clear video and audio.

Since this is the Air model, the upgrade comes without really breaking the bank. The new MacBook Air with M3 starts at US$1,099 for the 13-inch model, or US$91.58 per month for 12 months, and US$1,299 for the 15-inch version, maintaining the same starting price as the previous M2 models. Preorders are open now, with deliveries starting March 8, 2024.
